Selling luxury watches without the friction: send photos, get a fair valuation — discreet and personal.

The starting point
Fino Watches buys and sells premium watches in Baden-Baden — Rolex, Cartier, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe. A business built on trust and discretion, backed by signals like Chrono24 Trusted Seller status.
What was needed was a digital presence on the level of the merchandise: a website that credibly carries the premium segment and makes selling a watch as easy as sending a message.
The challenge
The biggest hurdle in watch buying is the first step: nobody just mails in their Rolex. The path to a valuation had to be digital, low-threshold and still trustworthy — sending photos instead of handing over the watch.
Technically that means: reliably accepting large phone photos without failing uploads — and protecting the form against spam without annoying honest sellers with captchas. Plus full bilingualism for international clients.
Solution & execution
From building trust to the selling funnel — in four steps.
- 01 · Discovery
Two paths, one goal
Structured the offering into two clear funnels: “sell your watch” (buying with photo valuation) and “search order” (having a dream watch sourced through the network). Every page leads to exactly one action, without detours.

Dark, calm, premium
A dark, reduced layout with large imagery — the watches take center stage while the design steps back. Fully bilingual in German and English, with trust elements in the right places.

Photo submissions that actually arrive
The selling form accepts photos up to 50 MB and automatically compresses them in the browser — no failed uploads, no frustrated sellers. Spam protection via an invisible honeypot instead of a captcha, email delivery straight through the company's own SMTP server.
